Hi Everyone! My seed talk is tomorrow night!!! It is Wed Feb 28, 2018 at 7:30 in the Wellington Room of Centre 2000. That is at the far end of the arena lobby. I will talk about starting plants from seed, and also about saving seeds in the fall. It is also the garden club penny sale night. That is fun. As I said before, it is only for garden club members, but it is a great idea to become a garden club member. It is just $10 for 2018, you can pay Wed. Upcoming talks are on vegetable gardening, hellebores and irises. Workshops are on planting an herb container, making kindness rocks, and a Christmas craft. There are judged flower shows and photography shows. The membership card also gets you discounts for plant material at Country Crops, Budson's, Dufferin Garden Centre, Country Garden Concrete, Meadowville Garden Centre, and Snowberry Botanicals, and a discount on the bus trip to Niagara. http://www.eringardenclub.ca/ The 2018 opening of my seed library will be at an eco film night at the Legion, Wed Match 21. The movie “The Peel Project” starts at 7. Afterwards, I will put one box at the centre 2000 library and have to other one to take to events. Please let me know if you would like me to visit with the seed library. Please fill out a sheet when you borrow from the library so that I can keep track of what is going out. Please borrow from the library even if you didn't have anything to return last year, and please tell your friends about it. It is only a good idea if people use it! I have gotten some nice donations in, and went to a seed exchange as well. I have done a lot of work on the website, so check that out please. Lastly, Martin, Steffi and I are holding a “Seedy Saturday” in Erin on April 7th from 11am to 3pm. It will be in the basement of Erin United Church. We are getting vendors who sell seeds, garden products, and maple syrup to name a few. We'll have a seed exchange table, rock painting and kids crafts. Free admission – please come! Thank you very much for everyone's support! I hope you will come to the seed talk, the opening and the Seedy Saturday! And most importantly, borrow from my seed library!! Grow something new! Give it a try. Grow something you would like to eat, or something to make your space more beautiful. I am so excited spring is coming!!!! I hope you will have a great season in your garden!! Take care, Seed you soon!! Jen Oh! One more thing. The In The Hills magazine said they would write about my seed library in their spring issue!! Very exciting!! Maybe it is just a line or 2, I don't know, but look for that!! Also if you would like off this e-mailing list, please just let me know!
