Hi!
Erin Seed Lending Library will open for 2020 at Erin Seedy Saturday which is March 7th this year. My goal with the Seed Library is to get more people to grow some food for themselves, try something new, grow something with your kids. Get your hands in the dirt. There might be one less truck load of cherry tomatoes driving up from Mexico this fall. Borrow, Grow, Return. You can do it!!! It is free. Choose some seeds of something you would like to grow. Grow some delicious fruit, veggies, herbs, or beautiful flowers. In the fall, bring some seeds back to the library from what you grew or from something else. Seeds are very easy to find if you look for them. They are inside the fruit, or under the spent flower head. See some seed finding tips on the Seed Tip tab. After the launch, the seed library will be located within the Centre 2000 book library, on the window sill. There are also boxes that I refill at the new Hillsburgh library, the Shelburne library, and Wastewise in Georgetown. Thank you very much. Jen
