April 2020
Well, this is a different year! All of the locations that have hosted my seed libraries are closed to help stop the spread of the Covid 19 virus. So my seed library boxes are on my front porch. I am really glad my Seedy Saturday was early this year and made it as one of the last events around before all the closures started. Thank you so much Jade Wyse for organizing the Shelburne Seedy Sunday that we did the next day, also just under the wire. I closed my daycare as a Covid 19 precaution March 12th, and have been spending a lot of time packaging seeds. I will update my inventory list to what is currently in the boxes out front. You are welcome to come and look thru the boxes yourself, and I have also had lots of requests from people to set certain ones aside for them to pick up. I think it is a great year to start a garden! And a great activity to involve kids in, if they are home with you. I use a spoon to fill the bags, but I cannot do the work in gloves. So please heed the cautions on the box lid, such as washing your hands after touching the packages and isolating them for 3 days after taking them home, somewhere cool and dry is best for the seeds. Please be safe, stay well, hug your kids, and grow some food! Jen
